Day 1

The 1st day of the meeting started with the project overview by the coordination team, explaining the current contractual status in terms of deliverables, milestones and the Ethics Advisory Board activities. Brief reference to the main results produced by ICARUS so far was made, the key challenges within and beyond the scope of the ICARUS project were reiterated, and the discussion points to drive the meeting were put to the table while the timeline of the ICARUS activities towards the IATA event and the periodic review meeting were defined.

Before the end of the day, updates on the external validation activities for the ICARUS Minimum Viable Product (MVP) were provided and shed light on the actual feedback acquired by external aviation data value chain stakeholders (i.e. airlines, ground handlers) while the data collection, safeguarding, analytics and sharing methods to be adopted in the ICARUS platform were described in detail.
